It is with me for more than a decade and now I hope to put the full name to this stapelia. I'm wondering which species this is.
Stapelia ID?
Morning Dinu -
What a beauty! Just a wonderful example....I think it is Orbea semota (N.E.Brown) Leach [Yellow Form].
May also be listed as Orbea semota (N.E. Br) Leach v. lutea

wow Dinu,
now that is a fantastic flower, does it make seeds? If you ever have any to share please let me know
Carmen
orbea semota v lutea. I have a 6" hanging basket that is loaded with it in full bloom right now.
Thanks happenstance, it looks like the one you have pointed out. Indeed, it is so pretty. We also call it the 'starfish flower'. I have not seen any seeds forming out of the dead flower. But I have always grown from cuttings.
Zamellusa, I should think of sending cuttings to you.
