Hi, just want to introduce myself. I just signed up yesterday, and my good friend Pudgymudpies subscribed me!
Is that a word??? Ha! So I've had fun looking through, or should I say trying to find my way!!! Everyone seems so nice and friendly, I can hardly wait to get started! This is gonna be FUN!!! It's really a refreshing change from other sites! Thanks Dave!! I love cuttings but haven't had time to do many lately. I've been busy fixing up my house. Siding and a new roof. UGh! Hurts in the checkbook!! Had to be done though! Winter's right around the corner. Ok, hope to meet you all soon. Email's are looked forward to!! LOL

Oh, BTW, I found a new sugarfree cookie yesterday at the grocery, made by MURRAY. Ya know those sugar wafers that are choc/van/strawberry? Well, these are just the Vanilla but they are Yummy!
I ate almost a whole pack last night with a glass of diet soda. John said he could not watch... hehehehe (He has milk issues).
Yesterday on Oprah it was about people that had lost a lot of weight & one gal lost like 125 pounds just by cutting out ALL sugar & exercising nightly. I am totally cool with the "cutting out all sugar" part. Wonder if the exercising part is necessary? LOLOLOL
Oh, Laurrie just IM'd me so I am telling her you are now an official Dave's Gardener!

I am woofing these puppies down as fast as I can! My 17 yr old daughter said "Geez, you seem to really like those. Let me try one" & I said "A WHOLE ONE????" LOL
(they are like 1/2 inch by 2 inches). And the greedy kid said "YES, A WHOLE ONE!" So I grudgingly gave her one & then waited to make sure she ate it all. If she would have pulled her usual & taken a bite & then tossed the rest in the can I think I would have went ballistic! hehehe
But she actually ate the whole thing & said "boy, those ARE good. They actually taste better then the real ones."
I have my eye on her AND I have counted my cookies....
Might have to rename the kid "stubs" cuz if she even reaches for my cookies that is all she is gonna pull back! LOL
I had to run to the store this morning so I bought 2 more packs. I think I have the weekend covered.

Welcome Yardmender, I live a little way up the road from you and MP, about a 2 hr. drive. You'll love it here. I don't get on the computer as often as I'd like to, but when I do have the time, this is where I come. I learn so much, some of the members offer a wealth of information. I was not feeling too good on friday night. I was sitting in the living room with John, complaining about my stomach ache & shovelling more cookies in my mouth. He was watching TV & pretty much ignoring me, but to be fair he probably did not know what I was saying with my mouth full of cookies & he probably did not want to make direct eye contact with me to see the cookie crumbs flying everywhere. So as I am inhaling & complaining I happen to be scanning the package & a little box catches my eye. It says "excessive consumption of this product may cause a laxative like effect".
Needless to say, I am off these cookies. Still want to know where to buy them? I have 1 1/2 packs that you can get real cheap! LOL You just let me know.....hehehehe

When my DH found out this year that he is border line Diabetic, he headed straight for the sugarless cookies. It wasn't just the laxative effect that got him, but it sure is VERY gasous. He now eats reg cookies, just not alot like he used to. hehehehe

Thanks Jen, that's kinda like Calif. Everyone thinks, sunny Ca. LOL We get some pretty cold temps. here too. Yucky fog, that lasts for days, and like you say, a little of everything. We even get snow once in awhile. I'm about 30 miles from Sacramento. Nice for plant growin' though!!

This is yet another belated welcome from yet another Sacramento gardener. Actually, I live in Citrus Heights just a stones throw from Sacramento. I get to drive through Galt about 3 to 4 days a week in the course of work. Galt seems like such a lovely place to live.
