When the world seems harsh and cold
and we are feeling down and blue
There's a place we are welcomed to the fold
I say this, because it is true!
We come here complete with baggage an moods
We are as diverse as the sands of the seas
With differing backgrounds, and attitudes
And so I am begging you please!
If something is said that causes you pain,
or there's someone you just do not like.
Please, let it go, there is nothing to gain,
By taking sides or by going on strike.
If I offend please let me know,
I will try to set things right,
But if grudges are held an ill wind blows
and I would rather be friends and not fight!
As I get to know more of the people here
there will be times when we will not agree.
But with compassion, love and a desire to cheer,
there will be blessings for you and for me!
So kick off your shoes and pull up a chair
there are so many things here to enjoy

and some who write in rhymes that annoy... ;~)
