Help with picture transfer

This is not the only time this has done this. I can not get the pictures to trans. to my pc. I have a Kodak camera and am using Kodak picture software. The usb is pluged in. I have reinstalled the program and still no luck. Anyone have any ideas. The other times it did this my son fixed it, guess I should have been paying attention. TIA
