Oh help! I have been getting e-mails from people asking me (Me! A non-farmer!) about growing alfalfa. I have been growing it for years, but only a little bit, and only for fertilizer for my beloved roses.
Any info would help, a lot! Like about the "correct" way to harvest it? I shear it every month, the plants survive a few years, but not well. About the foliage turning variegated as it blooms? Why?
How do you turn it into meal? All these and many more questions to ask, and nowhere to look for info save here in DG. Please????
