Idea from Paul James

I only caught several minutes today when Paul James was talking about dahlias. (A visitor came at the wrong moment, lol!)

For dahlia support (Instead of staking) he had used that orange fabric/plastic temp. fence/barrier stuff that has square holes about 4 inches across. He had staked it horizontally, about 18" off the ground and the dahlias grew up through it. I would guess that the orange material would become hidden by leaves as the dahlias grew.

I wonder if that stuff comes in any other colors?
