The backhoe will be here soon to dig trenches for water lines and footings for my new greenhouse! I have been wanting one for many years. This won't be a real quick construction job but I expect to be able to use it this fall.
Getting started, foundation digging today!
Yay! Has been a long time coming, eh? Congrats! It's finally coming on! (Take pics!) :>)
The ditches are dug for the water line project which is part of the greenhouse project. It took the backhoe almost all day to do it. We have some very hard ground! Plus, we want to build a guest cabin and needed to run a water line to it and one down to the garden. All together it is about 400 ft of ditches! Thankfully they didn't run any really big rocks or hit bedrock. That's part one. Now my DH and a friend will be getting the pipes put together and get frost free hydrants installed, and then use our tractor to bury them. The backhoe comes back on Saturday to dig for the greenhouse footings.
