Has anyone had problems with Giant Water Bugs in their ponds? I had one attack one of my gold fish tonight, it was on the fish for about two minutes before I got it off and now my fish is dead (so is the water bug).
Is there anything you can do about these disgusting creatures? How do you stop them from getting your fish? If I have one, will I have more?
Giant Water Bug
We call them "toe biters". Here is a link http://www.pca.state.mn.us/kids/c-october.html
What if they were this bad? http://www.sptimes.com/2003/06/21/Tampabay/The_invasion_of_the_g.shtml
Your fish died because when they bite their prey, they inject a paralyzing agent which starts to digest the prey for them.
UGH!
Did you see where they stuff them with chicken and cook them? Yummie!
Thank you for the links calalily. That is exactly what attacked my fish. That other link that you had with the new article was disgusting!
