Has anyone had any results with the commercial products on the market? Looking for the ones that use pherenomes-too many butterfly plants there for a spray. I have been hand-picking, until I went across the road and saw the hundreds on the grapevine, raspberries and various weeds.
Japanese beetles
I bought the bait with the attractants and hanging bags, I have about 5. While I was hanging them, the beetles flew in, they do work, but I still get beetles on the plants. Some people say the bait attracts the beetles, but I don't know what else to do; and the beetles were there before I hung the bait. I work all day so I can't stay there picking the beetles off, but I do pick them off after work. From waht I read the beetles only last about 3 weeks. All my trees being invaded are ornamentals I just planted this year. Hopefully they are strong enough to survive the onslaught. My wisteria tree was loaded, say 6-8 bugs, now I find 0 -3 when I check, so I would say the bait bags work.
