I'm curious about your experience with Leylands. Around here (Portland, Oregon area) they grow up so fast they don't have time to set down deep roots so that when a big wind comes up at say 4 or 5 years into their growth, when they are looking huge and gorgeous, one of them in a line of 5 blows over! That would be the pits! You can find them all over this area and boy are they beautiful.
they are grown all over down here for christmas tree. i have never seen them blownover.
