Wisteria

Anyone know if Wisteria grows quickly? at what rate? Is it hardy?

Wisteria floribunda - Japanese Wisteria - seems to be hardy to your zone. As far as I know, all wisteria are fast growers (noxious weed - lol - but we love 'em anyway).

In warm, wet weather the vines on the front and sides of my house seem to grow a foot a day, honest.

I love the look, the only downside is that I have to give them a haircut every two weeks or so, just to keep the tendrils from running up into the soffits and facia boards, then over into the guttering.

Springtime blooming is beatiful.
