email attachments empty?

I often get attachment forwards from AOL users and when I open the emails they are header-only, with nothing in the attachment.

Is there something I can do to correct this on my end or is it an AOL user thing that they have to change in order for me to be able to read their emails?

It seems as if they are trying to turn their forwards into attachments and something on one end or the other is clearing the text??
