Look at this sad mexican hat. This is the only one that is dying. I have two other plants that are ok..not great. The soil that this plant is in in one the sandy side. Any ideas?

No personal experience with Mexican Hat but in general sometimes one plant just doesn't do as well as the others nearby, that might be the case here. So, as long as it has already bloomed you could try just cutting it down to about 3 inches above the ground, and see if it will grow back healthier than ever. It might. Possibly something ate part of the roots and the plant just can't support all that top growth. If it still looks sick then dig it up and throw it out before other plants nearby get the same thing, whatever it is. A possibility is some kind of herbacide got it, maybe you sprayed the dandylions in the lawn or some weeds nearby, just guessing.

Have you had a lot of rain? If the ground has been too wet it may be causing the roots to rot.
