Black Eye Susan vine

It started blooming yesterday :)

Cute Susan! So far mine are orange this year with a pale green eye, but they were from mixed seeds. :O)

I had one that was a blushing one last year too that was orange but the seeds got mixed together :(
hopefully I'll have a blushing one come out of one of the 6 that I planted........lol

So pretty! I have the seeds but havent planted the seeds in yet! I will plant them in next spring.. they are one of my favorites..

I would love to try this, is it difficult? Do you have to start them indoors early?

I probably started 50 of them in the greenhouse this spring from seed that I had saved from this one and Blushing Susie. So far, no Blushing Susie's are blooming.

Lenjo, they are easy to start from seed. I would not start them more than 6-8 weeks before planting them outside or you will have a tangled mess of vines. I had to keep mine pinched back a lot in the GH and still had tangles.
