I think this one is better than Thurstonianum as it is more compact and the intricate foliage is much lovelier.
Oxonianum Sherwood
I'm not a fan of oxonianums as a rule but this looks a little different.
Have you nay photos showing the intricate foliage you mention psilo?

a friend over here has a fantastic x oxonianum 'Thurstonianum' which is purple instead of red. I'll post a very bad photo later. It could be worth naming! she says it came from me

That'd be good. Probably won't see it til saturday as hoping to leave for the midlands soon - going via a possible red kite site :)
did see red kite in Scotland, but there's the chance of seeing a larger group together....

right! Now it makes more sense thankyou. Yes there are quite a few colour strains of Thurstonianum about but noone has ever put a name to them. I dont know why? maybe you ought to be the first!:)
