C. Henryi

The first flower opened on my Clematis 'Henryi' today. I love this one it always looks so fresh. It's climbing into a baby 'John Downie' crab apple

Henryi is a very pretty clematis. So showy.

It must be about 6"-7" across kell, though it's dark out at the moment so that's just a guess.
Yes it's a large flower and quite 'fleshy' too. I love the texture :)

Philomel, a wonderful bloom.. Do you have a photo of it and the tree? I've never thought of growing one up a tree and am interested in how it looks.

I haven't but will try and find time to take one, though I'm away for a while very soon so please forgive me if I don't manage it :)
