Zowie! Is that creature eating the leaves off, as well as digging under it? Maybe you can spray some tabasco sauce on it.

Geez, Im just getting into hostas. I guess another creature is too! I was just wondering what animals like to eat these. I have this mole creature that has got to go.Do rabbits like Hosta? I understand about sitting all night watch. Couple of years ago I had wild dogs going after my goats. I thought I could never bring myself to kill anything, but these dogs were bad!! Killed about 30 goats around the area and I had had it. Sat out at night with a 22 in cold rain.I still jump at night if I hear the goats. Have a great little donkey now that does a good job of night watch. Cant shoot the rabbits though, one little guy watches me plant!! My big dogs watch him and chase him when he gets too close!!I know they really want to eat him!!!Good luck on the hostas and let me know what is attacking them.

The neighbors beagle ran the rabbit off yesterday morning. But the ground squirrels are playing all around the live trap that I bought last week end. I do think the chipmunks are the culprit. I just haven't been successful in my war against them, yet!

This is exactly what happens in my garden at the plant roots, it's as if the critters want to kill the plants. I am sure it's the chipmunks because at times I have found clumps of seedlings from birdseed sprouting at the spot because the chipmunks "planted" them.

It seems to me that ropel keeps the chipmunks away from the plants, although not the rabbits. I have a trap for them I just put out today.
