I've been busy scanning in pictures tonight. Here is one of my recent visitors, a Monarch caterpillar. I brought the cat in to raise it, and let it go into chrysalis--I actually caught him in the process, which was very cool. You can see the skin splitting to reveal the chrysalis! We let the butterfly outside, but it was too cold at the time for him to fly away. He was still sitting on the pentas when we got home. We ended up taking him back in overnight to keep him safe and released him the following morning after he warmed up a little in the sun.
