Oh gee, thanks. More to battle.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

hehe!! I can't find them eating anything anywhere, but there are so many, I just want to make sure.

Panhandle, FL(Zone 8a)

You want to make sure by sending them all to me?

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

sounds good to me! LOL!!

Panhandle, FL(Zone 8a)

Well, gather them up and send them on, I will get out the salt box! When it rains it pours.

Terry, it looks like some sort of tent caterpillar. Just at a glance that is my gut feel. It would explain why you see them everywhere. Look for silk "tents" up in the tree branches covered with caterpillars and lots of stripped foliage. The tents are easily seen. These caterpillars are bad guys and I try to be quick to spray them with Bt to keep them from defoliating all my trees.

thanks, I've seen the tents.

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

oooh! And I've the light.

Bad guys, bad guys, squish, squish.

Yeah, I think that's the eastern tent caterpillar. I hate those things.

Mableton, GA(Zone 7b)

Got 'em all over here in Austell too tiG. I haven't seen them eat any of my ornamentals, but I know they do tree damage. Sneaky little bugers too. I caught one crawling up my pants leg the other day and I hadn't even been standing still.

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

bummer tig. time to squish and spray

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I scrapped them off into a bucket of soapy water. they didn't like it:)
