Petrea Volubilis in bloom.
WOW. I have never seen this before. At first I thought it was wisteria. Amazing purple piles of fluff!
Do you happen to have any seeds from this plant?
LOL! Here it is a little over 1 year later and I came across this photo again and had the exact same impression of it. Was surprised to see I had already commented on it.
It is amazing kell...I know I would be pulling it up often too!
Found this plant in my friend's garden. Wanted to ID. Posted in the forums. It was said to be this. So, bumped into this picture -- amazing set of blooms! Simply magnificient!

Oh my, I am going for the 3rd straight year. LOL
Dinu, it IS amazing. Is it scented?
Love seeing all these plants I know nothing about. Thanks for posting.
And another time it came up on the home page and called out to me. LOL
Kell, let's try to find one of these. Isn't it neat?!
Yes Barbara it is too good to be true. LOL
I think its great you post on previous things as I would have never looked so you brought it to my attention also.
Thanks gals
Lavina
I want to know how you made this plant bloom as you have!
Msloan
It has no fragrance, unfortunately.
I have to comment again to make it 5 years running of admiration. I have seen it in person now at 2 public gardens in glass houses. Just gorgeous for sure.
I have a cutting that is now about 2 ft high and I really want to put it in the ground, can anyone suggest a pretty support for it?
WOW, a lot of tumbling purple!
Awesome!!
After seeing this, I most definitely have to move my new plant to somewhere where it will have room to spread! Can't wait for the show!
This vine loves a sunny, dry location. Mine is on the west side of my yard.
I have had 2 for 3 years and no blooms yet. I moved both to sunny location so I'm hoping. They are really beautiful. One is growing much better now and I treat it like it was gold. Sure looking forward to blooms someday.
