First Milkweed of the Year

I took these pix while out hiking about this weekend.
These are the first shoots of Asclepias fascicularis.
That means the Monarchs are soon to follow!

I got my seeds today!They looked great,can't wait!

Yes it was a great day here,my dove came back and tidied up her nest.

Hey root, My doves are gone now too. The baby dove left the nest last Sunday. I tried to get a last pic of the baby before it flew off but no luck. I still hear the doves every morning and afternoon coo-ing. I hope they reuse the nest again. It was really nice to have them around. I inspected the nest & they haven't cleaned it out yet.

Whats funny is acouple months ago,I changed my incoming message alert to a morning dove,off the birdsong site,now when I'm in the yard I keep feeling ,I Have Mail.LOL
