I've been looking at it for years and I think I might actually buy one this year. Does anyone have a suggestion where to buy this plant mail order? Thanks.

Forest Farm has this tree listed in their 2003 catalog. A one gallon, 1' to 2' plant is $25.00, plus 9.00 to ship it by ground.

They also list a 5 gallon, 5' to 6' plant, for $39.00 plus shipping. There is a shipping surcharge since the tree is so tall. Shipping the 5 gallon would be $50.00 (35.00 for normal ground shipping and an additional 15.00 because of the trees height.) The shipping is more than the tree, but Forest Farm sends out some very nice plants. I have never been disappointed with the stock I have received from them.

A 5 gallon tree in a nursery is sure to be around $100.00, so it really isn't so expensive.

Thank you so much. I've priced them in some wholesale nurseries where I can't buy them. They're even expensive there! This is not a bad price.

0Arbor Village, Holt MO has several Cercis ranging in price from $20.00 to $30.00. I was quite happy with the trees I bought from them earlier this spring. Donna
