Got this plant last year at our annual wildflower sale. Thrilled to see it booming its first year in my shade garden! Got my notice for the 2003 sale date & can hardly wait to see what I can find this year.
BLOOD ROOT
That is so pretty Doris. We have a wildflower sale here too. All the species sold are native to the three counties that surround the Indiana Dunes. There are 120 plants on that list, but alas.........still no lady slippers ;).
How do you like the blood root? I had it checked on my dunes list, but found a small root at Lowes yesterday for only $2, so I bought it instead. Can I expect it to do much this first year?
