HELP! Does anyone know how to get rid of stinging nettle? I bought my house two years ago and this painful experience with nature has tripled in size. I now have three grandchildren who, although I love to share the experience of gardening, could be a bit older before experiencing that particular aspect of it. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Stinging Nettle
When it is young put on gloves and pick the small plants and boil them like spinach. Delicious.
As with so many unwanted plants, stinging nettle can be difficult to get rid of. If you pull it up you must get all of it's roots or it will simply come back. I found it did respond to roundup. I was fortunate in that I was able to just spray it on since it was in an area that was not yet planted but in already planted areas I just kept pulling at it until it gave up.
