Does anybody know the current state of affairs when it comes to sending seeds from UK to the USA? I know that there have been some changes in the last year or so but I am not sure what the situation is now.

None of us are quite sure what's happening on this front. It seems to be pretty much business as usual. Some packets are being inspected and confiscated (some of mine have been) others are getting through ok.
Mine have all gotten there, just be sure to pack the seeds well, and so that they don't make much noise in the envelope.
Yes Evert, good advice, which I followed and all mine have gone through OK - though admittedly I haven't sent vast quantities
