Kiwi Vine in louisiana?

I'm interested in growing a "different" vine on a 12+ ft arbor. Will a Kiwi vine work in my zone 8 northeast louisiana garden? any other suggestions? How about Hops?

http://plantsdatabase.com/go/796/ - Kiwi Vine hardy in zones 4a - 8b and the same for Hops http://plantsdatabase.com/go/1153/ although some Hops will grow here in 9b with lots of care
