Can I do it? Are they something I can fit into a container? Am I insane thinking I can grow strawberries on my east facing patio?
Help! I saw strawberry plants in bags of dirt at Lowe's, and I can't quit thinking about them.... yum.. strawberries ....

Thanks, hon. I went ahead and purchased the rhizomes about a month ago. They're starting to show signs of green, so I'm glad about that. I had asked a garden center worker close to my apartment, and he said "go for it! they should grow really well."
I'll be sure to post if they ever bloom and fruit. :)

Once you get fruit; will be right over for some strawberry shortcake with lots of coolwhip, drizzled with chocolate.
Best of luck to you, and I do think that they should do good for you;just watch them birds once the fruit starts to come on if you have the pots on your patio. Might even try planting some strawberry plants in a hanging basket
