Can someone tell me what this translates to "ure souris verte"
I'm not even sure what language it is for sure.

I dont know what ure tranlates as

Must be a misprint for une (one or a)

a green mouse

but must have a coloquial meaning I imagine
une souris blanche (a white mouse) is used as we would use 'a guinea pig' someone to be experimented on.

Une souris verte,
Qui courrait dans l'herbe,
Je l'attrape par la queue,
Je la montre à ces messieurs,

I found the above children's song - is this where it came from Paul?

A green mouse
running in the grass
I catch it by the tail
I show it to these men
