I just received my catalogue - any of the brugies here might be interested in the fact that Snowbank, the only patented brug, is listed.
Hole's catalogue
Liz, is there a website to order the catelogue from?
www.holesonline.com - they're in St Albert Alberta.
Do they have it legally do you think?
I read in posts recently that is is not one of the vigorous strains, is that true?
It's so brand new Dennis that I'm not sure that anyone aside from the growers have had a chance to grow it out.
I'll email them and see if they'll guarantee that it is the real McCoy.
Thanks for the site Liz.
snowbank is one I will only watch for now, what with my poor track record on these kinds of Brugs LOL.
I found the brugs, but no snowbank. There was a sang though......
It's in the paper catalogue - I emailed and haven't heard back yet. Could be Maya or P+C. They still are calling them daturas. GRRR
Here is the answer I just got:
Thje Datura 'Snowbank' is described as dangling peach flowers with cream and green margined foliage, resmbling over sized Christmas Holly. Where our the source is I am unaware. The palnt is patented by Terra Nova, and carried by the firm you mention. Hope this helps.
The only patented brug, it must be the real mccoy.
Update on Snowbank. They will have 50 only and that's it as they can't propagate it because it is patented. So it's first come first served.
