It is Friday now..all the excitement and fun has wound down now..leaving me with a warm glow of happiness. Hope you all had a Merry Christmas with your family and friends. I received lots of wonderful gifts for my garden. Two new statues and a garden plaque..stainless steel garden hand tools and some copper plant markers. Also a wrought iron pot holder. My family knows how I love my garden.

Merry Christmas All. I just got back from snowy Hamilton and Barrie seeing my in laws and my daughter. Had a wonderful time but am glad to be back to the Wet Coast.

brugcrazy,I was thinking how closeby you were to me.
Honest, I did not do a 'snowdance' on your behalf. ;)
hope Oscar managed fine while you were here.

RA, Oscar managed fine. I hired a university student who has housesat Molly, the black shepherd lots in the summer and watered my plants. She stayed with him 24 hours a day except on Christmas Day she went out twice for 2 hours. He jumped on the counter and broke a few things, nothing important. Otherwise he survived fine. I think I'm finally making progress with that boy.

I know I was close but we arrived late ( 9:30 pm)on Monday into Hamilton ( West Jet), went to Barrie for Christmas eve and left Boxing day, back to Hamilton, up to past Dundas to check out the casino with Rob's Dad, then left Hamilton at 5:30 am Friday morning.

I knew you would be doing a lot of low flying durring your time here. I wasn't complaining, just hoping Oscar did ok so you would feel free to make the trip again another time. :))))

RA, the problem is that Zara, my house sitter lives in Victoria and came up so I could go and see Danielle for Christmas. I doubt she'll be able to do it again as she lives there. There's not too many people who will come and live at your house and watch 2 dogs, especially a fussy one like Oscar. Molly is no problem to find a sitter for.

Poor Oscar has 2 more growths, one on his face and one on his ear. I'll be taking him to the vet this week to have them removed and biopsied. I sure hope they aren't malignant.

Burlington, ON(Zone 6a)

Sending good vibes about Oscar's new growths and hope they are benign.
Teach him to accept flying, then he can come board here with Murphy while you tootle around.
Seriously though, I know it is difficult for you to get away and I am glad it worked out for you.

RA- My trainer and I spent months trying to crate train Oscar. He goes nuts if you put him in a crate. He's managed to break two large crates. So no flying for him unless I find an airline which will let him buy a seat.

I hear you brugcrazy .

RA- just got back from the vet with Oscar. The tumour on his nose is a histiocytoma ( benign) and the one on his ear we will watch. She did a needle biopsy of both and didn't see any mast cells in either which was good. That's what we were worried about.

That is good news to start the new year off with. :))

It certainly is.
