Everyone who grows Dahlias should grow at least on of the species. In this case it is Dhalia merckii

Is this something new Mark, looks like a single? What makes this different? Great color! Does it grow like a bedding dahlia or a full sized one?

Dahlia merckii is a species Dahlia from Mexico that has helped develop many of the cultivars we see today. It can grow to about 6ft but ours is notmally 3ft. It's almost hardy here and is a reliable bloomer even with a poorish summer.
