It's that time of year

and the Fall Web Worms are back

They seem to enjoy my Carolina Yellow Jasmine, Gelsemium sempervirens .

What does that guy turn in to?

Adults are really fuzzy white moths. Sometimes they have a few black spots or orange markings on their body and legs. I read that, I don't think I've ever seen one. These are not nearly as bad as the tent caterpillars that you see along highways and roadsides in the spring. They can really make a mess if they infest a tree or worse trees.
