I just planted a mini herb garden in a 3 tiered container I put together from some misc stuff I got at an auction while bidding on a single piece that I wanted. It is a medium to large aluminum mixing bowl, a fluted aluminum mold of some sort and a used disposable plastic cup. I punched drainage holes in all and stacked them.

Top cup:
variegated pineapple mint

Fluted mold:
catnip
parsley
lemon basil
cinnamin basil

Bowl:
lavender
hyssop
cilantro
chamomile
viola

I started it all from seed. I know it wont all come up at the same time and that some wont bloom this year, but I am into the low maintance thing and whatever doesnt look right when it starts coming up I can transplant later.
