Anyone know what this is, it has declared war on my brugs!

Sarasota, FL(Zone 9a)

The leaves of my brugs are being eaten wholesale here! It took alot of searching but I think I have found what is doing it. Someone told me not to kill them as they will turn into a pretty butterfly or moth. Well, I'm going to have to decide if I want brug or bugs! They are really tearing up my plants. Can anyone tell me what this is, what it will become and how to treat my plants for it? All my brugs are newly potted cuttings or babies I have grown from seed. I have over 70 brug babies right now and I really don't want to have to start over.

Thanks in advance!

Don't know what it is, but I bet that Dipel (Bt) would kill them!

I believe this is some sort of micro-moth larva, but I can't be certain. Having critters in your yard is fine, but not at the expense of all of your plants! As toadlily suggested, Bt would probably solve your problem, as it is highly effective against immature insects such as this larva. Physical removal will help get the population down initially before any chemical treatment as well, but a lot of people are hesitant to do this, unfortunately.

Thanks Bugguy and toadlily, I really appreicate the imput as these critters are devestating my brugs. Mike started my garden to attack wildlife but not like this.
