muehlenbeckia to compliment bonsai?

Brooksville, ME(Zone 5a)

It seems to me that the angel vine or maidenhair vine (a.k.a. muehlenbeckia complexa) would look great with bonsai. Does anyone know of a way of purchasing this vine other than an expensive topiary shop?

How about Ceropegia woodi?

That is very pretty too. I had one once that I got at Wal-mart. Now I know what it was called. I have found some muehlenbeckia vine last fall and I am hoping that it will spread this winter.

Fairyhunter, I bought a Mulenbeckia at Molbaks on the coast, last fall. It is a quite rapid, I would say vigorous grower and likes a lot of moisture. i let it get dry once and it lost most of its leaves. It was trained when I got it on one of the round forms, and still is as I haven't repotted it. In my A to Z book, says can be rooted from half ripe stems in summer, so i will try that. Never thought about using it as a sort of ground cover for a bonsai, might be very pretty. Donna
