CLOUDS

Children on a summer day
Romp and play in a field of hay
They lay on ther backs
To watch the sky
As the clouds make picture tracks
Way up on high

Look! Look! I see mickey mouse
and over there is a haunted house
Jane sees a little girl
As more clouds unfurl
Bobby sees a pogo stick
he calls out look quick
before the wind blows it away

Before they notice it the sky turns gray
the afternoon and clouds have slipped away
dark strings of black streak out of the sky
suddenly a bolt of lighting streaks on high
A gentle rain washes away
the pretty pictures of the day
only to freshen the grass were they lay
The children laugh and shout
as to the house they run about
Oh for the innocents of youth
