Does anyone know where I can find measurements for the following plant hanger?
The basic gist of it is: cut so many yards of twine, jute, hemp, or nylon rope; double them; make slip knots around a ring with each; measure down so far on each set; make a knot with a piece from one set & a piece from another set; do this with all sets; measure down some more & do the same thing all over again with all sets; ...; when done make a big knot; insert pot; hang & enjoy.
When the hanger's spread open, the space between the rows of knots looks like a diamond, & the whole thing reminds me of a fishnet, or onion or potato net bag.
I'd like to make some of these for small pots, say 4 to 6 inches, versus how most store bought hangers fit 6 to 8 inch pot size or beyond, but I don't know:
(1) how many sets of twine, etc., I'm supposed to use
(2) how far down I'm supposed to measure between rows of knots
(3) how many rows of knots I'm supposed to have
Can anyone help me?
Much thanks if so!
