Well, even though I'm growing my own gourds, I just couldn't take it any longer. I succumbed to purchasing several dried gourds from the farmer's market today.
I'm so excited to start playing with something and start learning how to make things with gourds.
I bought four that all seem to have the seeds inside. I was hoping for opinions on what type of gourd y'all think these are so that I can correctly identify the seeds to share. I've made my best guess based on a book I have (Gourds in Your Garden) and the hyperlink I posted in another post that shows different types of gourds. I think these might be dipper gourds with a curved handle?
Anxious to know if you agree or know specifically what I have here. Thanks!
Type of Gourds?
Yes...looks like dippers grown on the ground instead of trellised. Most of ours were that way...did get a few that were on a trellis though...and some of them got to be about 24" long. That is still not the LONG Dipper Gourds though. Jo
Thanks, Jo! Glad for the confirmation!!! I wouldn't want to mislabel the seeds :)
