bittersweet

Anyone know anything about these?I have 2 very large bushes ,crawling over everything,they get what look like buds every year but then...nothing.Someone mentioned that you need a male and female plant,is this true?how do I know what I've got?how do I get the mate for it? HELP!!!My Dh says its gotta go since its not doing anything!

nope,thats not it Mavie, but thanks for trying,this is the one that gets like dried looking red/orange flowers on it,more like bracs ,tiny......If I remember right

CC - Bittersweet is invasive! It's like a Northern Kudzu around here. There are places along our turnpike where it has eaten huge trees. Are you sure you want to grow it?

There is at least one American bittersweet (C. scandens), that might be it:)
