Simple plant hangers?

I was going to buy a bunch of macrame-type plant hangers at thrift stores, yard sales, & flea markets, but the cost of hunting around for these will seriously out way the cost of making them myself.

However, I don't want to make macrame types. I don't know how to macrame & I don't like the "hippie-look" of all the different knots & beads. Besides, it's hard to find the materials at local stores anymore, even if I wanted to make them.

I've done web searches & leave frustrated because I've only been able to find macrame patterns.

What I'm looking for are simple straight-forward designs with 'normal' knots where the pot rests. I'll probably make them out of twine since it's cheap.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
