Unusual Harvest Decorations

Silver Lake, OH(Zone 5b)

Right now the magazines are all touting goblins and ghouls for Halloween. I like giving the little kids treats and seeing their costumes, but I don't want to buy into the creepy aspects of Halloween, being a devout Christian and not wanting to promote the evil aspects of the day.

Seems like there are just as many decorations now for Halloween as there are for Christmas...

So, I am looking for Harvest type decorations for fall. Our house is orange-y brick. I have a beautiful orange marigold that is gorgeous and should remain so unless it gets frost... which is doubtful.

I'll love hearing your ideas!

Thanks
