Propagation of Snake Plant

I overwatered mine and the roots died, so I just placed the stems outside and forgot about them. Today I found one laying in the walkway and noticed the stem is still in perfect condition. I placed it in some dirt with a jar over it. Has anybody ever propagated a snake plant and will what i have done work?

What you did will work. You can also cut the stems into 2 inch pieces and stick them in the soil. They will form roots after a while and you will have more plants.
