How hard will it be to move an established clematis? I'm not sure what kind - it has large purple flowers. I've had this one in the same spot undisturbed for at least 5 years. I'm redoing the bed and need to find a new home for it. Will it survive a move Ok?

I move two last year - switched places because I did it wrong the first time and it took me 4 years to figure out what to do about it. I cut them back to about 1 1/2 feet, dug very deep to get as much root as possible, planted them that deep again, watered well and often the first 2 months and put about 8 inches of chipped bark mulch over the root area. They did both bloom sporadically last year and this year they are coming back with great enthusiasm.
