that is a great picture Cala! Is this one hard to pollinate?

I've pollinated every bloom that's opened, no fruit till now. Just had to figure out which pollen to use.

well I hope you remember which one took!

Kell, I used only Incarnata today. That way, I'll know none got mixed on the brush.

Oh I can't wait mine to have fruit so does it good to eat that fruit?

RR, don't know, it's still green. Maybe Tim can tell us.

Ok, I will be waiting for Tim answer this. =)

Ooo - I see i have a fruit coming on my 'Marie'. I'm not sure who I pollinated with - maybe incarnata. Tim - I went off the deep end and bought the Vanderplank book. I guess I'm officially addicted now.

One tid-bit I picked up from it - he says to pollinate later in the day. He says the pollen is not ripe until mid-day but the stigma is receptive as soon as the flower opens.

Ah ha!! That's why I've been doing better. I have been too busy in the early morning, so don't get around to them till evening. Guess that's why my pollen was sometimes "clumpy" in the morning. Gotta be careful though, the bees beat me to the pollen sometimes.
BTW, I found more fruits on BB and also more on Belotii.
