This is my first bloom on 'Marie'. I got it from Tim in the spring. She's a purdy one. I've had better success with the PF left in pots than those put in the ground. I guess our soil just doesn't warm up enough for them to be happy. A few have put out lots of vines but no flowers.
PF Marie
I have better luck with potted. Two of them still haven't bloomed yet this summer, all vines, all over the fence, not one bloom. I have 5 others, same place, they have been blooming. I do fertilize them pretty heavy, 15-30-15, then sometimes double that.
Your bloom looks big, very pretty.
Mine also did better in pots up here in zone 6. I have herbertiana now flowering. Gracilus which is an annual has not set bloom yet, vitifolia x incarnata and alata are really slow growers.
Sue,
That's a nice one!
I have a small one of those, it needs more sun. It had one teeny bloom.
