mama mia tomatoes

Westbury, NY

I've just seen pictures of this large paste variety. Would appreciate comments on quality from folks who've grown them. Are any varieties bigger or better? Thanks!

Since no one has replied, I will attempt to answer your question. I found a packet of these seeds from a 1995 AHA plant exchange when I was starting my tomato plants this year and was surprised when they germinated.

Our local extension agent recommends Viva Italia (not an heirloom) and I really like this. The Mama Mia is not too different, though it sort of has a nipple at the end.

Sounds like my kind of 'mater Esther. LOL
