My Flanders Poppies are turning grey on one side of the plant, and then it spreads and the plant dies. I tried to cut out the grey part, but that won't stop the grey from spreading.
Someone wrote about Marigolds turning grey and dying, and now this is happening I am wondering if we are suffering from the same thing?
I think it could be a ph problem, but that is my only idea.
The ones in the back of house are ok, it is only the ones in front. I have some Marigolds in front as well that are fine.

Is it powdery?
no, it not ready powdery, it just a grey color, but does not rub off like a mold type of thing.
I looked again and it could be some type of mildew after all, because it has spread to another area with different soil, so I detroyed all the infected plants.
