Hummingbird & Hummingbird moth
Hi Iris aren't the Humming bird Moth's neat I had them last year they came to my verbena and let me stand real close to take their picture. First time I'd ever seen one!
Hi Iris,
very nice pics! flowerpot me too, the hummer months let me get up close to them to take some pic, unlike the hummingbirds who get a little flighty!
I had hummingbird moth's at my house too. They really don't pay any attention to people at all. I had heard about them before and never saw them until this year but I knew exactly what it was when I saw it.
Now doesn't the tomato hornworm turn into a hummingbird moth?

Flowerpot, Tootsie, Fairyhunter, They 'are' so neat to watch!, The next time you see one, Get up real cose and you will hear the're buzzing sound ~ Which is quite loud and deep if you get up close enough to hear it ~ I pratically put my ear right on top of them! LOL!
Those are cool :)
you're great with the camera!
I haven't seen a hummingbird moth this year got my flowers planted to late and didn't get any verbena. That's the plant I found it hanging around in last year. You know Iris I think that's what made me notice the hummingbird moth in the first place, I heard it before I saw it
