Evert what do you want for trade, I know you do not want money for the stamps, I wouldn't mind some of your seeds.
Tell me what can I offer for a trade.

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

What seeds would you like? Want to wait when there are more ready?

Temuco, Chile(Zone 9b)

I'll wait, no worries.

Temuco, Chile(Zone 9b)

I'll wait, no worries.
You could send me a bit of any you could spare. Seeds are difficult to come by around here, unless you gather them by self, and in the south of Chile we can get only what grows in this area, not complaining but that is the case.

Evert,

I have a batch of tiny little plastic bags you could use to send out seeds to everyone. I am still interested in seeds and trades, but will be happy to send these along asap.
How do I find the address to send them to?

:D I have found them nowhere here, why don't they sell any seedbags here.. I always have to make them myself and they look pretty funny :}

I'd be interested in trading for the hesperis matronalis. What do want to trade for - I should have an interesting papaver somniferum - a pink heritage variety from the Swiss Jura. Interested?

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

Can you find any Gentian or wild Ranunculus seeds there? =) hehe.. I can send you some Hesperis seeds when they're ready, the pods are still all green

Versailles, CT(Zone 7a)

Interested in creeping buttercup (ranunculus repens) ? I've loads, it's wild and it's trying to take over my garden!

Don't know about gentians - I'll see what I can do.

Would be delighted with the hesperis - I had a plant and expected seedlings all round - nothing! If I get one to flower this time, I shall bag the seed heads and catch my own seeds! The one I had in Yorkshire self-seeded.

Helsinki, Finland(Zone 4b)

I have similar Ranunculus in our yard too, not repens though.. Maybe not this time :}

I am not sure where my hesperis came from :D I got several plants from my friend last year but not sure did she give a hesperis.. well, it started growing this year and bloomed. Not very pretty alone in the flowerbed. ;) The flower color of this was light purple.

Actually, Gerddi, the Swiss Jura poppy sounds interesting, do you have a photo of it?

Versailles, CT(Zone 7a)

Sorry, no, although I'll see if my daughter's digital camera is a) working and b) if one is flowering - she and her camera are leaving for Panama on Sunday and won't be back until April so please understand if I don't succeed.

It has the grey.green leaves of a papaver somniferum and the flowers are a dusky pink. It was grown for oil and when that industry collapsed at the end of the 1800s, one family kept the flower in their garden because they thought it was pretty - it is this family that gave the seed to the seed savers here (Pro Specie Rara).

I'll certainly swap you some seed for some hesperis matronalis seed.

I just collected first Meconopsis seeds 2 days ago and will collect more of them everyday as they get ripe.... I hope somebody have use for them as they have to be sown when fresh.

We went down to the garden to photogrpah the flowers but they had all gone to seed.

It's called Plančte Rouge du Jura but is, in fact, a dusky pink; quite a large flower (larger than the wild red poppy).
