I found this piece of info in the newspaper last weekend.
If Gerbera daisy plant gets mites, pour turmeric powder over it. Or wash its leaves with 0.2% solution of mild dish washing liquid or mix 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil, 1/8 gram (0.6ml) dish washing detergent and 230ml warm tap water into a spray bottle, shake it well and spray over the leaves of the plant.
Gerbera - mites - remedy
What is a good non-invasive (environmental) repellent for those pesky little green worms that munch away at my gerbera leaves? Would beer be a good deterent?
Haven't tried beer. I use a neem-based solution to reasonable effect. I don't know whether it is available there.
